What Are Referral Sources?

A referral source is how a patient found your clinic — "Facebook", "Google", "Walk-in", or "Referred by Dr. Ahmed". Tracking this shows which marketing channels actually bring patients in.

Pro Tip: Set up referral sources before registering patients so you can link them from day one.
2

Adding a Source

Go to Referral Management › Add Referral and enter the source name. Keep names short and consistent — for example, always use "Instagram" not "IG" or "Insta".

3

Linking a Patient to a Source

When adding or editing a patient, select their referral source in the "Referred By" field. This links all their visits and invoices to that source in your reports.

4

Referral Performance Report

Go to Referral Management › Referral Report to see patient count and total revenue per source. Use this to see which efforts are paying off.

Note: Revenue is calculated from all invoices linked to patients under each referral source.
