What Is a Guest Visit?

A guest visit is for one-time patients — a walk-in, a quick consult, or someone who doesn't want a permanent record. You create the visit, bill them, and close it out without generating a Patient ID.

Pro Tip: Only convert to a full patient record when they become a regular.

Adding a Guest Visit

Go to Guests › Add Guest. Fill in the name, phone, and reason for visit. You can attach a bill or add notes right away.

Convert an Appointment to a Guest Visit

Open the appointment and choose "Convert to Guest Visit". All visit details carry over — nothing needs to be re-entered.

Note: The original appointment is marked as fulfilled and linked to the guest visit.

Convert a Guest Visit to a Full Patient

Open the guest visit and click "Convert to Patient". DentDock creates a new patient profile using the existing info and preserves all visit and billing history.

Pro Tip: All notes and records from the guest visit carry over automatically.
